At the beginning of May, TENAA revealed two untitled handsets from OPPO featuring a dewdrop notch screen and a dual camera module on the rear. There's a rumor that this handset is a lite version of OPPO Reno, however, we took that information with a grain of salt considering OPPO has already launched 3 smartphones in the Reno line.
If this information provided by China's Telecom is true, our speculations about the Reno Lite would be justified. A handset from OPPO with the model PCDM10 was posted on China's Telecom website along with the specifications, price, and name of the device. This handset shall be called OPPO Reno Z, in terms of its design, the render attached with the post on China's Telecom is the same as the render on TENAA.
The render shows that the smartphone features an appealing gradient finish with three variants, Extreme Night Black, Star Purple, Coral Orange, and Bead White. The handset is expected to be launched with a dual camera system on the rear. Since there is no fingerprint sensor shown in the picture, it is likely that the phone shall include an under-display fingerprint scanner. As for the post that corresponds with information on TENAA, OPPO Reno Z is set to feature a 6.4'' 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ AMOLED screen and a dewdrop notch, the device shall be equipped with the MediaTek Helio P90 SoC and Octa-core (6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 & 2x2.0 GHz Cortex-A75) CPU, supported by 6GB of RAM and 256GB of memory.
In terms of other specs, the smartphone features a 48MP + 5MP dual camera module on the rear, anon-removable Li-Po 3950 mAh battery, with 20W fast battery charging capability (VOOC 3.0). The device will run on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6 on top. With a price of 2599 RMB (equivalent to Rs. 26,500) in the Chinese market, OPPO Reno Z's price is a little lower than the OPPO Reno, which is priced at 2999 RMB (around Rs. 30,600).
