Oppo is planning to announce a new phone called Reno S in India. The Oppo Reno S is tipped to come with a 64MP main sensor at the back and support Super VOOC 2.0 technology (65W). It will reportedly arrive in the country in early December and up for sale via both online and offline stores. Moreover, rumor has it that the device will be offered at higher than Rs. 40,000.
With a high price tag, the Oppo Reno S is likely to feature a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. As mentioned, the device might support 65W Super VOOC 2.0 technology, which has already been introduced on the Oppo Reno Ace. Aside from the fast charging solution, the Reno Ace also packs the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset also. However, its main camera is only a 48MP one, which means that the Reno S might be an entirely new phone instead of a rebranded model of the Reno Ace.
When the Reno S comes out in December, it will be one of the first phones in India with such fast charging solution. The 65W Super VOOC 2.0 is said to refill 50 percent of a 4,000 mAh battery in just 10 minutes and 27 minutes to fully charge the phone.
The Reno series was first introduced by Oppo in India in June with the Reno & Reno 10X Zoom being the first two smartphones in the series. The brand later introduced the Reno 2, Reno 2F, and Reno 2Z last month. The Oppo Reno 2 is currently the most premium phone in the series in India with a price tag of Rs. 36,990. Followed the Reno 2 is the Reno 2Z, which is priced at Rs. 29,990. Finally, the Reno 2F is slightly cheaper than the Reno 2Z as its price in India is set at Rs. 25,990. Therefore, if the Reno S is indeed priced at over Rs. 40,000, it will stay as one of the most expensive Oppo Reno phones.
