Oppo Reno & Oppo Reno 10X Zoom With Shark-Fin Pop-Up Camera Announced In India

After launching in China in late last month, the first two phones under Oppo's sub-brand Reno called Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10X Zoom finally come to India.

Oppo’s sub-brand Reno announced its first smartphone series called Oppo Reno in late April including Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10X Zoom. Now, the two handsets finally make their ways to India for a starting price of Rs. 32,990. Both of them feature the new Shark-fin pop-up camera. They will be available for sale from Amazon.in, Paytm mall, Flipkart, and Oppo’s e-store as well. You can now pre-order the phone and claim 10% cashback using HDFC credit and debit cards.
Oppo Reno & Reno 10X Zoom: Price

The Oppo Reno is priced from Rs. 32,990 in the Indian market for the variant with 8GB of RAM + 128GB of storage. Meanwhile, the Reno 10X Zoom is priced at Rs. 39,990 for the entry-levele option with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. You can also buy the 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage for Rs. 49,990. Both of them will be available for sale from 7 June.


Oppo Reno & Reno 10X Zoom: Specifications & Features
The standard Oppo Reno is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM + 256GB internal storage. On the front, it comes with a 6.4-inch OLED full-screen screen thanks to the ‘shark-fin’ camera, and it is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 6.

In the imaging department, the device features a dual camera setup, comprising of a 48MP primary shooter with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture and SuperClear mode to enhance its photography in low-light condition. Up front, it has a 16MP camera with f/2.0 lens for selfies and video call. Powering it is a 3,765 mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0. Other features include an on-screen fingerprint reader, Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0, Game Boost 2.0, and NFC.

Moving to the top-end Oppo Reno 10X Zoom, it’s driven by a more powerful Snapdragon 855 processor accompanied by up to 256GB storage + 8GB RAM. It features a truly bezel-less 6.65-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a 93.1 screen-to-body ratio thanks to the ‘shark-fin’ camera, and it’s protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 6.

On the camera front, it features triple cameras on the rear, including a 48MP primary Sony IMX 586 sensor with f/1.7 lens, a periscope 13MP telephoto camera with f/3.0 lens and 10X zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture. They are supported by several features such as SuperClear mode for better low-light photography and hybrid-OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). The device can also support video recording up to 4K resolution @60 fps and 3D surround sound with three microphones. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 lens that is placed on the ‘shark-fin’ pop-up camera.

For security, it features an in-display fingerprint reader. It is fueled by a beefy 4,065 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 support. For software, it ships with ColorOS 6.0 out of the box which is based on Android 9 Pie.
