Chinese phone market has witnessed the launch of various smartphones with a special camera system. For instance, the Vivo NEX is the first smartphone coming with a pop-up selfie camera. The Oppo Find X then features a motorized hidden panel at the top for housing both front and back cameras. Besides, other smartphones like the Honor Magic 2 and the Mi Mix 3 have sliding cameras to bring the true bezel-less display. We have seen many weird camera ideas, but Oppo Reno might be the phone with the strangest selfie camera ever. Let’s take a look at the newly-leaked video below:
The video also showed up the design of the rear panel of the phone. Moreover, the phone appearing on the demo unit tested at MWC 2019 does not feature the 10X lossless zoom technology behind a periscope lens. Therefore, it is probably another Oppo Reno phone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 aiming to have a lower price.
The renders of the case of Oppo Reno shows up the big cut-out on the device’s front for peeking mechanism while the bottom is expected to have USB Type-C port and an audio jack. This front camera is called with several nicknames such as ‘a shark fin’ or ‘a Zippo lighter’. Also, the phone is expected to have two rear cameras, according to the renders. In addition, it appears to not feature any physical button for Breeno newly-introduced voice assistant of Oppo. That the device comes with two rear cameras means that it is probably a cheaper Reno variant without 10X lossless zoom technology.

So far, there has been much information about this upcoming Oppo Reno phone such as its price, specifications, or launch date. However, it is likely that Oppo keeps trying any ideas to eliminate the notch on the display.
