OPPO Reno Ace was launched last October as a more affordable smartphone with the top-end chipset at the time, Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. Its successor - OPPO Reno Ace 2 is going to be released next month. We have a brief understanding of what the phone would look like thanks to its recently-leaked live photo. Now, the handset has passed through TENAA with most of its specs and photos.

Even though the listing only reveals that the phone will be driven by an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.8GHz, we believe the chipset should be the top-end Snapdragon 865. It will be pre-loaded with Android 10 out of the box and come in two variants - 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.
Its front is covered by a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel that supports FHD+ resolution and has a fingerprint sensor right below for security. At the upper left corner, we can see a punch-hole that should be where a single 16MP selfie shooter is located. Around the back, you can see the presence of the quad-camera setup if you take a close look. The four cameras, housed inside a circular housing, are 48MP main sensor, 8MP secondary shooter, and two 2MP units. While the two 2MP units should be depth and macro sensors, the 8MP module is expected to be the ultra-wide snapper.

The handset will have support for dual-mode 5G connectivity and come in three colorways - Purple, Blue, and Black. The handset is listed with a battery that has a rated capacity of only 1,955mAh. However, that should be the size of a single cell and the total capacity could be around 4,000mAh. Just like its predecessor, the upcoming OPPO Reno Ace 2 will support 65W fast charging technology with the addition of 40W wireless charging support.
