Oppo Reno 3 and Oppo Reno 3 Pro were released last month in China and they have also started to go on sale recently. Now, according to company insiders cited in 91mobiles, the Reno 3 Pro will come to India by the third week of February. More importantly, the version that is coming to India will carry slightly different hardware specifications compared to the Chinese version. Instead of a single selfie camera housed in a punch-hole, the Indian version of Reno 3 Pro will be the first phone in the world to feature a dual-selfie camera setup with a 44MP main shooter. In addition, the Chinese version supports 5G connectivity thanks to the Snapdragon 765G chipset. However, the one heading to India won’t support the next-gen network, but we are not sure whether the brand will use a different processor or not.
OPPO Reno 3 Pro: Specifications & Features
To recall, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro sports a 6.5-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display also supports HDR10+ and features a punch-hole at the upper left corner. As mentioned, instead of a single selfie camera, the punch-hole, which will likely be in a pill-shape, will house two front cameras, one of which is a 44MP shooter. That will make the Indian version of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro the first phone in the world to feature such a high-resolution selfie camera.
Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 765G chipset, aided by 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. However, since the handset doesn’t support 5G connectivity, we might see a different chipset on the Indian version. Software-wise, it should still ship with Android 10 out of the box with ColorOS 7.0 atop.
For photography, it gets four cameras at the back, including a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 2MP black/white camera, and a 13MP telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom. Fueling the whole thing is a 4,025 mAh battery that supports VOOC 4.0 30W rapid charging technology via a USB-C port. For security, it is equipped with an in-display fingerprint reader.
