Oppo has just announced that there will be an Oppo flagship device coming with a Snapdragon 865 SoC earlier 2020. Oppo’s VP & President of Global Sales Alen Wu also said that the company has already partnered with many telecom operators in 7 countries to allow its users to enjoy low-latency and high-speed networks. While the Chinese OEM did not reveal the exact identity of the flagship, it did say that the Oppo Reno 3 Pro is on the way with a Snapdragon 765 SoC.

In the past couple of days, Brian Shen, Oppo’s VP & President of Global Marketing, has teased several features of the upcoming Oppo Reno 3 Pro. He claims that the handset will be one of the slimmest smartphones that support dual-mode 5G connectivity with a 7.7mm thickness. It means the phone will support both NSA (non-standalone) and SA (standalone) networks. It will also be quite light with a weight of 180 grams. Furthermore, the device is tipped to carry a glass-sandwich design.
Under the hood, the Reno 3 Pro is tipped to carry a large battery with a 4,025 mAh capacity, that is tipped to support 30W VOOC 4.0 quick charging technology. In terms of software, it could come with ColorOS 7 pre-installed, which is based on the latest Android 10. If the rumor is to be believed, the latest addition to the Reno series could carry a 6.5-inch FHD+ screen. As mentioned, it will be driven by a Snapdragon 765 SoC, aided by 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. On the rear, there will reportedly be a quad-camera lens setup, that includes a 60MP main sensor.

The phone has already been confirmed by the brand to arrive this month. It should take on the upcoming Redmi K30, which is confirmed to be unveiled on 10 December in China with a Snapdragon 765 SoC as well. As for the Snapdragon 865-powered smartphone, there are still very few details about the phone, but we believe that it might be revealed at the MWC 2020 even in February next year under the Oppo Reno brand.
