OPPO Reno 3 finally makes its global debut nearly three months after its launch in China. The device is a more affordable version of the OPPO Reno 3 Pro, which was released in India early this month. The global version of this phone features an Helio P90 SoC and 4G connectivity instead of the Dimensity 1000 chipset and 5G connectivity on the Chinese model. In addition, the phone also has an upgraded 44MP selfie camera from the 32MP unit, while its quad-camera cluster is downgraded from 64MP to a 48MP primary sensor.

The price of the OPPO Reno 3 global version hasn’t been revealed, but we expect it to be more affordable compared to its Chinese counterpart as it is the case for the Reno 3 Pro Indian version. To recall, the OPPO Reno 3 was priced at around Rs. 36,000 for the base option with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It will come in Midnight Black and Aurora Blue color variants.
OPPO Reno 3: Specifications & Features
The handset flaunts a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel of FHD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a water-drop notch at the top, and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8. The device is driven by an Helio P90 SoC, aided by 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Fueling the phone is a 4,020 mAh battery cell that supports OPPO’s 30W VOOC 3.0 FlashCharge technology.
Its quad-camera cluster consists of a 48MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with f /2.2 aperture, and a 2MP monochrome camera with f/2.4 aperture. As mentioned, it is equipped with a 44MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Camera features include 5x hybrid zoom, 20x digital zoom, AI Beauty Video, Ultra Steady Video 2.0, Video Bokeh, and more.
It boots Android 10-based ColorOS 7 to take care of the software side of things and has a ‘hidden’ fingerprint unlock 3.0 sensor, which is claimed to unlock the phone in just one motion. Finally, its connectivity features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, GPS/ A-GPS, and microSD card.
