Oppo has just released its latest custom skin based on Android called ColorOS 7 in China. The brand also announced that the first phone to ship with the latest OS will be Oppo Reno 3 5G. It is expected to arrive as the flagship offering from the Chinese OEM and is slated to make its debut next month. As you can tell by the name, the handset will support 5G connectivity and that will make it the first phone in the Reno series with the fifth-gen connectivity. Separately, the new ColorOS 7 will also arrive in several Oppo smartphones soon, as well as Reno and Realme handsets in the upcoming future via OTA update.

This new version of ColorOS 7 comes with many improvements and features over the last version, ColorOS 6. One of the key highlights is the all-weather dark mode that can turn the whole background black with white text. With that, users can get easy viewing and higher battery life. Moreover, the new version also has better animation, sound effects, new aesthetics, and more. The company also packs it with several modes like Driving mode, Powering Saving mode, and Hyper Boost mode to improve users’ experience even more.
OPPO Reno 3 5G: Expected specifications
According to previous rumors and leaks, the upcoming Oppo Reno 3 will likely come with a Snapdragon 735 chipset, which hasn’t been announced yet. The processor should come with 5G connectivity and likely be aided by 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The front should be covered with a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint reader for biometric security.

In terms of camera, the Oppo Reno 3 5G is tipped to rock a quad-camera cluster on the rear. The camera setup will likely include a 60MP main sensor, a 13MP lens, a 2MP sensor, and an 8MP snapper. For selfies, there should be a 32MP shooter on the front. Under the hood, it is rumored to pack a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 30W VOOC 4.0 quick charging solution.
Price-wise, the handset might be offered at a starting price of CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 33,300) for the 8GB of RAM / 128GB of storage model and CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs. 36,400) for the 8GB of RAM / 256GB of storage option. The version with 5G connectivity should carry a more expensive price tag.
