OPPO sub-brand Reno is set to launch its Reno 2 series on 28 August, according to a new teaser spotted online recently. The Reno 2 series is expected to include two models though details surrounding the handsets are limited at present. The leaked poster showed that the upcoming series will feature four rear cameras with the 20X Zoom capabilities. It is worth noting that, the upcoming Reno 2 will have Shark Fin pop-up selfie camera like the Reno 10X Zoom Edition. The brand plans to introduce the phone in the Indian market first instead of its home country.
As you can see in the poster, the Reno 2 lineup could come with a vertically-aligned quad rear camera module. On the front, the pop-up selfie shooter will appear from the top of the phone when users want to take selfies. Additionally, the upcoming series will offer a full-view display like the 10X Zoom Edition. And although there has been no official information so far, the phone is tipped to have a fingerprint scanner under the display. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 700-lineup chipset.
In addition, as per the reports, the Reno 2 is expected to flaunt a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen. On the back, the device allegedly comes with a 48MP main sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, a 13MP telephoto sensor, a 2MP monochrome sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor. Besides, powering the device is a big 4,065 mAh battery with the support for the VOOC fast charging technology. Regarding the pricing, the phone is said to be more expensive than the OPPO Reno.
To recall, the Reno phone currently costs Rs. 32,990 for 8GB RAM and 128GB memory. On the other hand, the 10X Zoom Edition has a price of Rs. 39,990 for 6GB RAM and 128GB memory, and Rs. 49,990 for 8GB RAM and 256GB memory.
