It seems like Oppo is going to release a new smartphone soon. An Oppo smartphone with model number OPPO PCLM50 has been listed on TENAA. The handset carries hardware specifications of a mid-range smartphone and possibly supports 5G connectivity. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that the phone will come to India soon. In addition, the specifications of the Oppo PCLM50 is similar to the Reno 3 smartphones launched recently.
As per the listing on TENAA, the Oppo PCLM50 will feature an octa-core Qualcomm chipset, which is tipped to be the Snapdragon 765G SoC. It was spotted on Geekbench recently with 8GB RAM and a 1.80Ghz octa-core chipset, which matches the description of the Snapdragon 765G chipset. As for internal storage, it seems to arrive with two configurations with 128GB / 256GB storage. We are not sure whether it will have a microSD card slot to expand its storage. On the front, it will likely sport a 6.4” AMOLED panel, supporting Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400p) resolution. The display is tipped to have an aspect ratio of 20:9. Sadly, we don’t know which front design Oppo will go for on this phone, punch-hole, pop-up selfie camera, or the conventional water-drop notch.
Under the hood, the OPPO PCLM50 will be fueled by a 3,935 mAh battery. The TENAA listing also shows that the handset measures 160.3 x 74.3 x 7.96 mm and weighs 180g. Android 10 is also listed with the phone, possibly with Oppo’s ColorOS 7 on top. As for connectivity, the device is said to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G connectivity, with support for Band 79 and Band 41. It appears that this phone might not support 5G Band 79.
For photography, it is expected to rock a quad-camera lens setup at the back, including a 48MP main sensor. The secondary unit might be an ultra-wide-angle lens or a telephoto lens with an 8MP resolution. The third and fourth ones are said to have 2MP resolution, but it isn’t clear whether they will be B/W as well as depth sensors or one depth sensor and one macro camera. For selfies, a 32MP is expected to be available on this device.
