Earlier this week, the direct successor to the Oppo K1, Oppo K3 was officially confirmed to launch for the Chinese market on 23 May. Today, the company shared its first render of the handset, showing a notch-free screen with a pop-up camera as well as a gradient rear panel. In addition, the Oppo K3 was also listed on Chinese e-commerce site JD.com, revealing several key specs of the phone.

The newest poster of the Oppo K3 launch from Oppo confirms that the handset will come with a pop-up front-facing camera. However, it will share a similar design to the one of the Oppo F11 Pro, not the ‘Shark-fin’ camera of the Oppo Reno.

Apart from the pop-up camera, it can be seen from the teaser render that the upcoming device will come in at least a gradient color at the back and curved corners. In addition to the Purple gradient color in the render, the forthcoming Oppo K3 will reportedly come in Green and White color variants as well. At the back, there are dual cameras stacked vertically with a LED flash below.

In terms of hardware specifications, the Oppo K3 is listed on JD.com to be powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC. The said listing also has some photos of the Purple colour variant of the phone. The Chinese company Oppo also confirmed a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel on the Oppo K3 with DC dimming tech and a better on-screen fingerprint reader. While the configurations haven’t been revealed, it is confirmed that it will come with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage.
For better performance, Oppo goes for some features like Frame Boost, Link Boost, Touch Boost, and Game Boost 2.0. Other features include an audio jack and a USB-C port that have been revealed by recent teaser photos by Oppo. Finally, there will be a 16MP pop-up selfie camera on the Oppo K3 which the company claims to be tested more than 200,000 times and take only 0.74 seconds.
