Oppo has just gone to Twitter confirming that the pop-up selfie camera on the Oppo F11 Pro can last for straight 6 years with 100 uses per day.

More and more smartphones in the market are coming with a pop-up selfie camera. Oppo and Vivo are two smartphone makers that have been actively launching phones with such feature. However, it is still relatively new to the market, so many people are still hesitant to buy one as they are worried about the pop-up camera’s durability. The Chinese company Oppo has just gone to twitter and confirms that the one on its recently-released Oppo F11 Pro is very solid as users can use it 100 times a day for straight 6 years.

100 times a day is even too high for a selfie addict. You would even replace the Oppo F11 Pro before the selfie camera failing. And if you don’t use the Facial Recognition feature to unlock the phone, it might last forever.

Along with the tweet, Oppo also uploaded a video showing the F11 Pro playing music with its selfie camera. The sound doesn’t come from the camera itself, but it is actually the sound when the camera is popped up for taking selfies, video calling, or Facial Unlock feature.

To recall, Oppo already brought the Oppo F11 and Oppo F11 Pro to the Indian market earlier this month for a price starting from Rs. 19,999 and Rs. 24,999, respectively.

Oppo F11 Pro: Specifications

The F11 Pro sports a 6.53-inch LCD Panoramic display with full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels). The screen covers 90.9% of the front and has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The rear panel appears stunning with impressive gradient design when its front display is notch-free and nearly bezel-less. For performance, the handset is powered by MTK Helio P70 chipset as well as 4GB/6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage.

The handset runs on the ColorOS 6 which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. It also features the famous Hyperboost Acceleration Engine of OPPO which helps the overall performance accelerate during intense usage sessions.

In the camera department, the device features a pop-up 16MP front-facing camera called “Rising Camera” by the company. The pop-up selfie camera is put in the top center of the display and features Beautification mode backed by AI to improve the quality of Portrait mode to blur the background and selfies. It also supports Facial Recognition feature.

Furthermore, powering the device is a large battery with a capacity of 4,000mAh integrated the VOOC 3.0 charging technology, which can fully charge the phone from 0 to 100 percent in only 80 minutes. Additionally, the device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Its dual camera setup is stacked vertically like that on the newly-released iPhone series. Regarding the connectivity, the handset has a dated micro-USB port instead of a USB-C port. Moreover, connectivity options include NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and other standard options.
