OPPO A92 Unveiled: Snapdragon 665, 48MP Quad Rear Cameras, 5,000mAh Battery

OPPO A92 is a new mid-range smartphone that features a Snapdragon 665 SoC, 48MP quad rear cameras, and a beefy 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

OPPO A92 is the latest member of the OPPO A series. The handset features several similarities to the newly-released OPPO A52 & OPPO A72 such as punch-hole display, quad rear cameras in a rectangular housing, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The highlights of the OPPO A92 are Snapdragon 665 SoC, 6.5-inch punch-hole display, 48MP quad rear cameras, and 5,000 mAh battery (18W fast charging).

OPPO A92: Price & Availability

The phone is priced at 1,199 MYR, which is equivalent to around Rs. 21,200 for the 8GB + 128GB model. The brand offers three color variants: Stream White, Aurora Purple, and Twilight Black. You can start pre-ordering the phone via OPPO Malaysia’s eStore. For now, there is no word regarding the phone’s availability for the global market.

OPPO A92: Specifications & Features

On the front, there is a 6.5-inch LCD panel wrapped around the phone. It supports FHD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The mid-range Snapdragon 665 SoC is in charge of powering the phone alongside 8GB of RAM. The device is available in a single model with 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, but you can expand its storage using a microSD card. OPPO already pre-installs Android 10-based ColorOS 7.1.1 on the phone to take care of the software side of things.

For photography, the OPPO A92 gets four cameras at the back, including a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP portrait camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Meanwhile, a 16MP camera placed inside the notch is in charge of taking selfies and video calls. You will have a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side of the phone for security. Finally, the whole thing is fueled by a beefy 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology over a USB-C port. Unlike the OPPO A92s, the A92 only supports 4G connectivity among other standard connectivity options.
