Oppo A9 With Helio P70 SoC Goes Official in India At Rs. 15,490

The Oppo A9 finally makes its way to India for a price of Rs. 15,490. It is equipped with an Helio P70 SoC, dual cameras, 4,000mAh battery, and more.

The Oppo A9 has finally made its way to India today. It is slated to be up for sale from 20 July via both online and offline stores. The highlights of the handset are a large battery, tall display, Hyper-boost for better gaming performance, and Ultra Night Mode for better low-light photography. The phone already launched in the brand’s home soil China back in April with a starting price of CNY1,399 (around Rs. 14,000).

The handset will be priced at Rs. 15,490 for the sold variant with 4GB RAM / 128GB storage from 20 July in the country. It will be available in two color options - Marble Green and Fluorite Purple.
OPPO A9: Specifications & Features
The handset sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a 2,340 x 1,080p resolution, a 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. At the top of the display is a dewdrop notch for housing a selfie camera. The display is also protected by a protective layer of Gorilla Glass 5.
Powering the phone is an Helio P70 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that can be expanded using a microSD card up to 256GB. The handset is also available in a 6GB RAM variant, but it hasn’t made its way to India yet.
In terms of camera, it sports a dual camera setup, including a 16MP primary camera with an f/1.8 lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it makes use of a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens. Fueling the entire setup is a 4,020mAh battery. Software-wise, it ships with ColorOS 6 which is based on Android 9 Pie. There is a fingerprint reader at its back for biometric authentication. Finally, its connectivity options include dual SIM slots, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, AUX port with active noise cancellation and dedicated mic, and Wi-Fi 802.11.
