OPPO A9 With Helio P70 SoC & 4020mAh Battery To Launch in India Soon

The Oppo A9 already launched in China in April this year with Helio P70 SoC, 4,020 mAh battery, and dual camera setup for around Rs. 17,900.

We have just reported that Oppo is all set to launch the Oppo K3 in the Indian market on 19 July. However, it is not the only smartphone Oppo is planning to bring to India in the recent future. A new report suggests that the brand is also planning to announce the Oppo A9 in the next couple of days in India as well. To recall, the handset already launched in China in April this year for CNY 1,799 (around Rs. 17,900).

OPPO A9: Expected Launch Date
We haven’t got any information about the price of the upcoming phone. However, it is rumored to be priced at below Rs. 16,000. As for the phone’s availability, it might be available for sale in the next couple of weeks. The phone is available in China in three color variants which are Mica Green, Fluorite Purple, and Ice Jade White.
OPPO A9: Expected specifications
The handset sports a massive 6.53-inch FHD+ panel with a dewdrop notch on top and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.7 percent. It runs on an Helio P70 processor, coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB of storage which is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. However, we are not sure whether Oppo will offer both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants in India. It ships with Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 on top. For security, there is a fingerprint scanner mounted at its back.

In terms of camera, it features a dual camera setup, including a 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The setup supports several features like panorama, pro mode, and time-lapse. On the front, there is a 16MP camera with an f/2.0 lens for selfies and video chats. Completing the specification list is a beefy 4,020mAh battery with AI power management feature.
