Rumor has it that Oppo is preparing for the introduction of a series of its “A” smartphones in India. For now, all we know is Oppo A5s will set you back Rs. 15,000; it will be available both online and in bricks and mortars stores. Some other smartphone brands have given specific e-commerce platforms, like Amazon, Flipkart, or both, exclusive right to sell its products. We have no idea if Oppo is going to do the same or not.
Under the hood, the Oppo A5s runs on a MediaTek Helio P35 processor. Customers have three choices when it comes to RAM and inbuilt storage. For RAM, we have 3 GB, 4 GB, and 6 GB. They come with either 64 GB or 32 GB of onboard storage. You can expand that capacity to a maximum of 256 GB by inserting a microSD.
The screen is 6.2 inches and supports HD+. It makes use of in-cell technology to keep the whole phone thin. The Oppo A5s sports a dewdrop notch which house the 8MP selfie camera, which can double to support video calls. On the other side, there is a dual camera setup comprising of a 2MP depth sensor and a 13MP primary lens. The whole thing is powered by a 4,230mAh battery, which the company claimed to be able to handle up to 14 hours of videos and 11 hours of gaming. Another feature is that the phone can house Dual SIM.
