Recently, we have spotted the Oppo A31 (Reno S) on multiple certification agencies, including India’s BIS, Bluetooth SIG, the FCC, NBTC, and the IMDA. Even though its official release date hasn’t been revealed, we believe that it should not be too far given that it has bagged a lot of certifications. Now, the Oppo A31 (Reno S) has passed through the benchmarking platform Geekbench with several key specs. The listing reveals that the device will be powered by an MT6779V/CV, which is model number of the Helio P90 SoC, clocked @ 2GHz. Paired with the chipset could be 8GB RAM. Meanwhile, the phone is also listed with Android 10, but it should run on Oppo’s ColorOS.
The Oppo A31 achieved respective scores of 399 and 1,496 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. On the front, it will boast a 6.5-inch display with LTE. According to the listing in the Bluetooth SIG database, the handset could pack a 4,230 mAh battery without any fast charging support. Possible connectivity options include USB-C port, headphone jack, and speaker grille at the bottom. On the right side, there is a power button, while its left side houses a volume rocker. For selfies, it is speculated to feature a punch-hole display for a selfie camera.
Aside from the Oppo A31, the Chinese phone maker also sets to launch the Oppo Reno 3 Pro in India next month. The handset is tipped to feature a dual selfie camera setup with a 44MP main sensor. That will make the Reno 3 Pro the first phone in the world to come with a 44MP sensor. Even though the phone supports 5G connectivity in China thanks to the Snapdragon 765G chipset, the Indian version will not support the network and might pack a different processor.
Apart from that, the Reno 3 Pro coming to India will likely have the same specs as the Chinese version. It will come with a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 4,025 mAh battery supporting 30W fast charging solution, and Android 10-based ColorOS 7 out of the box.
