OPPO’s new budget smartphone OPPO A31 was announced in Indonesia earlier in the month. According to an offline retail store, OPPO India is planning to launch the phone in the Indian market next week. You can see on the leaked promotional poster that the handset will be available in two color variants in India, Mystery Black and Fantasy White.

The handset is priced at around Rs. 13,500 in Indonesia for a single model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage in the same Mystery Black or Fantasy White color variants. 

However, the promotional poster shows that the handset will be available in two memory configurations instead of just one - 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.

It also reveals that the handset will come with multiple offers. They include purchasing the phone on EMIs with Home Credit and Bajaj Finserv cards. In addition, buyers can get Jio data benefits worth up to Rs. 7,050 for purchasing the OPPO A31. Finally, the brand offers 5 percent cash back on any purchase of the phone using debit / credit cards from HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, IDFA First Bank, and ICICI Bank.

The handset flaunts a 6.5-inch display that has an 83 percent screen-to-body ratio, HD+ (1,600 x 720p) resolution, and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It gets processing power from an Helio P35 octa-core chipset, aided by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The handset measures 163.9x75.5x8.3 mm and boots Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 to take care of the software side of things. It is fueled by a 4,230mAh battery under the hood that doesn’t support any fast charging technology. For security, you can use a fingerprint sensor mounted at the back of the device.

For photography, users can use its triple camera cluster at the back that includes a 12MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF; a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture for portrait shots. The back cameras are also capable of recording videos at 1080p resolution. Upfront, it gets a single 8MP shooter for video calls and selfies. Connectivity options of the phone include dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, micro-USB port, headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and 4G LTE.

OPPO A31 has finally made its debut in India after being listed on OPPO India’s website. The handset was first released in Indonesia early this month. It features a 3D gradient design on the rear along with a triple camera cluster. Other key features of the phone include rear-mounted fingerprint reader, water-drop notch, and Helio P35 chipset.

The OPPO A31 price in India is Rs. 11,490 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The price goes up to Rs. 13,990 if you want to get the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The handset will be up for sales via offline stores across the country in Mystery Black and Fantasy White.
