OPPO is reportedly developing the successor to the OPPO A11 called OPPO A12. However, it seems like that is not the only smartphone in the series the brand is working on as a new report suggests that the OPPO A12e is in the works as well. The report reveals the key specs and color variants of the phone, including the presence of the Snapdragon 450 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. Going by the specs, we believe the device should be positioned in the budget segment, but you should take it with a grain of salt since this is the first time OPPO releases an 'e' model.

OPPO A12e: Launch date & Availability
This is the first time we have heard about this phone, so the phone should not make its debut at any time soon. In addition, the OPPO A11 is yet to be released in India, so there is a good chance that the OPPO A12e and OPPO A12 might suffer the same fate.
It will reportedly be available in Red, Purple, and Black color variants.
OPPO A12e: Specifications
According to the report, the OPPO A12e will come with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD panel of HD+ resolution. There will be an 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video chats and it could be placed inside a water-drop notch, which is almost the one to go for in a budget smartphone these days. Under the hood, it will be driven by a Snapdragon 450 chipset alongside 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the brand will pack a 4,230mAh battery to keep the phone running. Sadly, it is likely to come with no fast charging support.

In terms of design, since it will most likely be a budget smartphone, we expect to see a polycarbonate build as well as a dewdrop notch. It is tipped to measure 156.2 x 75.6 x 8.2 mm and weigh 170g.
Moving to the OPPO A12, its recent listing on Geekbench suggested the presence of the MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core chipset, 3GB of RAM, and Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0.1. It scored 900 and 3,754 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
