Recently, OPPO has just released a new series in the flagship segment called OPPO Find X2 & OPPO Find X2 Pro. The brand has also been quite active in the mid-range segment. Despite having the sub-brand Realme being one of the most popular brands in the entry-level market, the company it-self still wants to grab a piece of the market and one of its upcoming offerings will likely be called OPPO A12.

The render and nearly full specs of the phone have been leaked today. It doesn’t offer something truly amazing for an entry-level smartphone. We see a phone with dual rear cameras, slightly thick bezels, water-drop notch, HD+ display, and a decently-beefy battery.
The handset is said to measure 155.9x75.5x8.3 mm and weighs 165 grams. You can see in the picture that the handset has a plastic build with a diamond pattern on the rear that might remind you of the Realme 5. Overall, I believe that the specs and design of this phone are not that impressive and its price could be the one that will attract users, but that information is unavailable for now.
OPPO A12: Specifications & Features
The OPPO A12 is leaked to feature a 6.22-inch LCD panel with a water-drop notch at the top that houses a 5MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. The display also offers up to HD+ resolution and has slightly thick bezels on the sides with a thicker chin at the bottom. Powering the phone is an Helio P35 chipset made by MediaTek, which is aided by two memory configurations. The base variant will pack 3GB RAM and 32GB storage while the higher-end model will have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

At the back, we can see the presence of the fingerprint reader that is used for biometric authentication and a dual-camera setup for photography. The system includes a 13MP main sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. Under the hood, there is a 4,230 mAh battery to keep the lights on while it is pre-installed with Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1.2 to take care of the software side of things.
