As the results of many-year debates, now OnePlus has finally made the decision to replace all of its traditional headphone jack in their smartphone 6T with wireless devices. Saying goodbye to the 3.5mm headphone jack, the most advanced smartphones of OnePlus, now model 6T, are available for purchasers with the USB-C route and more lively audio experiences with their hands-free earphones.

However, this significant change turned out not an easy move for the producer. Anyway, the company’s co-founder, Car Pei, suggested that if they did not switch into the new technology now, they would have missed the chance.

The controversial decision

Recently, in an interview, he said that the decision was very controversial. They were not doing it just to follow the trend or to catch up with anyone.

They only had the faith that it was the right moment for them, and this change will bring advantages to their users, and also reduce the disadvantages they had to face. Taking the jack away, users now could have more free space, and could also have the product incorporated with more new features into.
