OnePlus usually releases two series, one in the early part of the year while the other series is usually introduced towards the end of the year. It seems like things will still be the same in 2020.
According to a fresh leak, the OnePlus 8T will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This display has the same size as that of the OnePlus 8, but the refresh rate is upgraded to 120Hz over 90Hz. In addition, a leaked photo previously have shown that the OnePlus 8T might have a flat display instead of a curved one.
Around the back, the device will reportedly come with a quad-camera lens setup, led by a 48MP primary camera along with a 16MP ultra-wide shooter, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP portrait camera. Again, the setup isn’t that different from that of the OnePlus 8, except for the addition of the macro camera. However, the rumor’s source suggests that the main camera of the OnePlus 8T will have a newer sensor than its predecessor, resulting in higher photo quality.
In terms of design, you should not expect a significant change over the OnePlus 8. However, it will have several upgrades in the hardware department, including the Snapdragon 865+ SoC, 8GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage.
The OnePlus 8T should ship with Android 11 at launch alongside OxygenOS 11 interface. The device, possibly alongside OnePlus 8T Pro, might make its debut sometime this month or early next month.
