There have been quite a few leaks and rumors about the OnePlus 8 on the Internet. Recently, we have got a good look at the two phones’ design in their first set of CAD renders. Now, the OnePlus 8 Pro has visited Geekbench and the listing reveals several key details about the upcoming flagship.
Just like many other smartphones before their launch, the OnePlus 8 Pro is also tested on the benchmarking platform Geekbench. As per the Geekbench listing, the 8 Pro with model number GALILEI IN2023 will ship with Android 10 pre-installed, which is expected for a flagship in 2020. Another expected detail is the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 865 SoC is also listed along with the phone. In addition, the model being tested packs 12GB RAM, but we believe there should also be other variants with 8GB of RAM as well.
Moving to the benchmark scores of the handset, the OnePlus 8 Pro scores 4,296 points and 12,531 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. These scores are quite impressive in comparison to its predecessor OnePlus 7T Pro with a Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. sadly, these are all the details we have got from the listing. Aside from these, we have previously learned that OnePlus will get rid of the pop-up selfie camera design and go for the punch-hole display that will likely be seen on the upcoming Galaxy S20 series. In addition, the brand also confirmed in a recent conference that this series will feature a 120Hz display, but we are not sure whether that includes the OnePlus 8 Lite or not.
Last year, OnePlus launched a total of two series, each of which includes two offerings. That makes the number of OnePlus launched per year increase to four instead of only two in years before 2019. However, it seems like OnePlus is still not satisfied with that and is planning to release a Lite version of the OnePlus 8, according to recent leaks. The handset was shown in a set of renders with a punch-hole display and triple rear cameras.
