For a high-end smartphone with a high price like the newly-released OnePlus 8 Pro, users can surely expect a high durability on the phone.

On April 14, OnePlus officially launched the duo OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, two of its latest flagships to succeed the OnePlus 7T series launched half a year ago. The new smartphones come with quite a lot of hardware upgrades, especially on the OnePlus 8 Pro with two new features: wireless charging and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Soon after the launch event, JerryRigEverything's YouTube channel quickly posted a video showing the OnePlus 8 going through his signature durability tests.

The screen durability test first. Like many other smartphones, it still scratches at level 6 and deeper grooves at level 7.
The screen of the OnePlus 8 Pro has a built-in optical fingerprint sensor and can work normally even when the fingerprint scanning area is scratched.
The frame of the device is made of aluminum.
The antenna area is located at the top and bottom.
A notable feature on the OnePlus 8 Pro is the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance
Therefore, the sim tray of the device is protected by a rubber gasket to prevent water from getting inside the phone.
The back of OnePlus 8 Pro is finished with a matte texture, avoiding getting prone to sweat and fingerprints.
The display is burned by a lighter for 30 seconds.
That left a white burn mark at the center of the display.
Finally, the bend test. After two tries on both sides of the device, OnePlus 8 Pro still can not be bent with bare hands

Thus, with a starting price of $899 (around Rs. 68,900) for the base variant and $ 999 (around Rs. 76,500) for the top-end version, this is a result that users expect when the device can pass most of JerryRigEverything's tests and show a pretty good endurance.
