Next year could be a busy year for OnePlus, as the company is said to be planning to launch more smartphones than usual in 2020. Previously, we saw quite a lot of renders of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro posted online, confirming that they will have a punch-screen design and 4 vertically arranged camera clusters on the back.

Today, in cooperation with leaked expert OnLeaks, 91Mobiles has shared a series of renderings believed to be of OnePlus 8 Lite, which is believed to be a mid-range offering. OnePlus' last device when it comes to the mid-range segment is OnePlus X, which was introduced in October 2015.
While the flagship is gradually saturated in price, this is probably the right time for OnePlus to consider bringing mid-range smartphones back. And if today's renders are to be believed, OnePlus 8 Lite will be the only mid-range device that OnePlus has launched in the last four years.

OnePlus 8 Lite is expected to be launched in the first half of 2020, presumably alongside OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. From the "Lite" suffix in the name, we can guess that this phone will be in the mid-range segment with a relatively affordable price, and will be a watered-down version when compared to its siblings.

A series of renderings revealed that the OnePlus 8 Lite will have a flat-screen design, ranging in size from 6.4 inches to 6.5 inches. In addition, it will also come with a punch-hole placed in the center and home to a single selfie camera. Meanwhile, the bottom edge is a USB Type-C port, but there is no headphone jack. The dimensions of the device are expected to be approximately 159.2 x 74 x 8.6 mm.

The OnePlus 8 Lite will have a back made entirely of glass, soft beveled on the sides with a blue cover. The rear camera module is located at the top-right corner, instead of being in the middle like OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.

Since this is a Lite variant, therefore it will only come with three cameras. In addition, the back of the machine also does not have a fingerprint sensor, so it is likely that the phone will be integrated with a fingerprint sensor under the AMOLED screen.
