Previously, OnePlus was tipped to release the OnePlus 8 series a bit earlier than usual. In particular, initial reports suggested that the series could make their debut in mid-March, but it seems like that won’t happen, possibly because of the Covid-19 outbreak. Now, according to the well-known leakster Max J, the OnePlus 8 series launch date could be 15th April. Moreover, the 8 Pro was recently seen in the hands of Robert Downey Jr. - OnePlus' ambassador, meaning its launch should not be too far away.

OnePlus is probably one of the most popular brands thanks to its reasonably-priced smartphone in the high-end segment. Therefore, many people are anticipating the arrival of the OnePlus 8 series, which had been tipped to make their debut earlier than their predecessors. However, it seems like the Covid-19 outbreak has made a great impact on the development and production of the series. The new report suggests that the lineup will be released on 15 April, which is nearly a month from now.
Sadly, that is only the date when the OnePlus 8 series will be announced. We are not sure when the lineup will be available for sales. The Lite model was even said to come on sales months after the release of the 8 & 8 Pro.

For now, we have known that the two smartphones will come with a Snapdragon 865 under the hood. Both smartphones will sport a 120Hz display and Android 10 out of the box. In addition to that, they could also feature the punch-hole display instead of the pop-up camera that OnePlus has been used on multiple devices. Previous renders of the Pro model have revealed that the handset could be equipped with a total of four cameras at the back, three of which will be housed in a camera module.
