Honor has recently announced its latest Honor 20 series in India, including Honor 20i, Honor 20, and Honor 20 Pro. Now, Huawei's sub-brand is reportedly planning to launch two more handsets in the mid-range segment, dubbed Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro. These two phones will launch as the successors to the Honor 8X, that launched earlier in the year. As you might notice, instead of launching a single smartphone, the Honor 9X series will include two smartphones. Now, their official renders have just surfaced online, giving us a good glimpse at their designs. Let’s take a look at their designs and rumors specs of the two upcoming phones, both of which will likely make its debut in China soon.
Both the Honor 9X and 9X Pro seems to feature a full-screen display and a thin chin at the bottom. At the back, it seems like Honor will use a glass back on both phones. In terms of camera, the Honor 9X is shown to feature a dual camera setup on the rear, while the Pro model will get one more camera. According to previous rumors, both phones will come with a pop-up front camera, and that is why they have a bezel-less display. Moreover, we also don’t see a fingerprint reader at both phones’ back, and that might hint at an in-display fingerprint scanner on both phones. While the renders show the Honor 9X in a Black color, the 9X Pro is seen to cover in Purple color with X-shaped gradient finish.
Moving to the specifications, both the 9X & 9X Pro are said to come with the newly-launched Kirin 810 octa-core processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is expandable using a microSD card. On the camera front, the 9X is tipped to have a 48MP + 2MP camera setup on the rear, whereas the 9X Pro will likely feature a 48MP + 2MP + 8MP camera system. On the front, the Honor 9X Pro will sport a 6.59-inch FHD+ display, while the 9X might have a smaller screen with the same FHD+ resolution. Lastly, they will ship with EMUI 9.1 which is based on Android 9 Pie out of the box and one of the two will pack a 3,900 mAh battery.
