ZTE’s sub-brand, Nubia, will launch its gaming phone, the Nubia Red Magic, to the Indian market on 20 December. This news was also confirmed on a teaser promo posted by the Nubia’s official India Twitter account. This gaming phone was already launched earlier in the year, but that was only in China. With its successor, the Red Magic Mars, was released in the Chinese market last month, it seems like Nubia is now trying to find a new gaming phone segment in the Indian market with the release of its Red Magic.
Specifications of the Nubia Red Magic
The Red Magic will have two SIM slots and run a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo. It is also expected to sport a 5.99-inch FullHD+ LTPS TFT panel with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU and 8GB RAM.
In the camera department, the Nubia gaming handset will come with a single 24MP f1.7 rear sensor with a 0.9 µm pixel size and support for 4K video recording at 30 frames per second. On the front, there will be an 8MP f2.0 selfie camera with 1.2µm pixel size and support for 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second.
And to offer a high quality gaming experience to its user, Nubia uses an air-cooling tech in its Red Magic. The gaming handset also has a dedicated button to trigger its gaming mode which will allow users to disable all the incoming messages, calls and notifications. That button also triggers the turbo acceleration mode to increase the phone’s performance.
