Nubia planned to release its next-gen gaming-centric phone called Nubia Red Magic 5G at MWC 2020 event in Spain. Sadly, the event is canceled, leading to the launch event of the phone getting postponed as well.

The brand has confirmed that a new launch date for the Nubia Red Magic 5G will be announced soon. It seems like the brand will first release the phone in China and then bring it to other markets at a later date. For now, we have known that the phone will come with a Snapdragon 865 chipset, 5G support, and a 144Hz display. Now, tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the Nubia Red Magic 5G has just passed through Geekbench in two variants codenamed SuperCharger SC-B0 and SUPER_DEVICE. He further claims that its display will support up to 2K resolution and it is made by Samsung. Both smartphones are listed on Geekbench V5 and Geekbench V4 with 12GB of RAM, but the Nubia SUPER_DEVICE is also available in 8GB RAM.
The SUPER_DEVICE model with 8GB RAM achieved respective scores of 4,308 and 13,537 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. The scores of the SUPER_DEVICE 12GB RAM model is at the same level as the 8GB of RAM. Interestingly, it has a slightly higher score in the single-core test while its score for the multi-core test is slightly lower despite having a higher amount of RAM.

Meanwhile, the SuperCharge SC-B0 model with 12GB of RAM scored 4,310 and 13,475 in the single-core and multi-core tests on Geekbench 4, respectively. On Geekbench 5, it achieved 931 points and 3,154 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
In addition, the Nubia Red Magic 5G is also tipped to feature “air-cooled turbo fast charge” technology and its fans can turn on automatically whenever the handset’s temperature surpasses a particular threshold. It also supports low-latency wireless screencasting feature that allows users to cast games onto a larger display.
