Nokia 7.1, Xiaomi Mi A2 and Motorola One Power are three strong contenders in their price range, but which ones do you think are the best out of three?

HMD Global just recently released its Nokia 7.1 in the India market at Rs. 19,999. The release comes several months after HMD initially introduced the handset in China. The phone is a successor to the Nokia 6.1 Plus but comes with a few improvements. As previously reported, the handset is about to be released on 7 December. Judging from its specs and price, the phone will most likely compete with strong contenders like Xiaomi Mi A2, Xiaomi Poco F1, Honor Play and Moto One Power.

I believe that specifications are among the most important factors that users usually consider when choosing a smartphone, including RAM, SoC, and storage as well. The Nokia 7.1 is powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC with Adreno 509 GPU, 4GB of RAM/64GB of storage.

All of the three handsets are part of the Android One program, and that means all three run Android 8.1 Oreo with updates for Android 9 Pie is coming soon in some markets.

Display

The display should be the first thing that users usually notice when they pick a phone up. It’s also one of the main reasons that can influence users to choose a handset. The Nokia device features a 5.84-inch Full-HD+ display 2 comes with awith an aspect ratio of 19:9, HDR10 support. In comparison, the Motorola One Power has a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ display with 2246 x 1080 pixels resolution with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi A2 flaunts a 5.99-inch display with 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution. The Nokia 7.1 on paper has a higher pixel per inch (PPI) due to smaller display size making it better in quality than other competitors.

Camera

The Nokia phone sports a dual camera setup on its back with a 12MP f1.8 primary sensor and a 5MP f2.4 secondary sensor. Meanwhile, the Motorola handset goes for a dual camera system with a 16MP f/1.8 primary sensor and a 5MP f2.2 secondary sensor.

The Xiaomi device, on the other hand, features a 12MP f1.8 primary sensor and a 20MP f1.8 secondary sensor. HMD opted for Zeiss optics and a dual-LED flash while the other two come with regular camera sensors with dual LED flash modules.
