As the first U.S $1-trilllion-market- capitalization tech company in the world, Apple said it was planning to spend US$1 billion on building a new campus in Austin, Texas. This new site is expected to create more jobs and improve the economy in this area. Moreover, Apple also revealed that it would establish more new offices in Culver City, Seattle, and San Diego in the coming time, in addition to Boulder, New York, and Pittsburgh in its expansion plans.
This announcement predicts a year of new job creation for the development of the U.S economy of this tech giant. Apple said that it had added more 6,000 jobs to the economy across the United States in 2018, bringing the total employees of Apple to 90,000 in all 50 states at the present. It is known that the biggest site of Apple is currently the Apple Park, which is located in Cupertino, California. It is the working place for Apple’s global headquarters and for the total of its over 12,000 staff.

Although there have already been Apple's offices in the city of Texas, Austin, Apple still intends to expand its operation network in this city. This latest office will be placed less than a mile from its existing facilities. Jobs that are created at the new campus will consist of a very wide range of functions such as operations, engineering, finance, R&D, customer support and sales. This new site is believed to turn Apple into the company having the biggest number of employees in Austin.

For more information, it is said that Apple will develop a conserved open space of 50 acres. And like in all Apple facilities worldwide, 100% renewable energy will be used to run Apple’s work spaces.
