Motorola left the high-end smartphone segment two years ago, after the failure of the Moto Z2 Force. However, with 5G technology getting users’ attention, Lenovo-owned phone company is looking to return to the segment, with the launch of a completely new flagship smartphone.

The smartphone will be called Motorola Edge+ 5G. As the name implies, the smartphone will have a screen that will be curved on both sides, with an ultra-thin bezel. The upper and lower edges are also very thin, giving an impressive overall design.

The display can have a size of between 6.5 and 6.8 inches as well as support Full-HD + resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Pursuing a modern design, Motorola Edge+ 5G has a screen with a punch-hole at the upper left corner to house a selfie camera. If this design image is accurate, we can see that the size of the camera hole is super small.
Around the back, the Motorola Edge+ 5G has a triple camera setup arranged vertically. This camera cluster is quite large and protruding quite a bit. In addition, the layout is not really balanced making the back design is not too impressive. Next to the camera cluster is an LED flash and a sensor, which can be a depth sensor or laser autofocus.

However, the highlight of this smartphone is the Motorola logo with LED lights around. This LED can be used to notify messages, calls or notifications. However, it is unclear whether the logo part will be mounted with a fingerprint sensor or not. Maybe for a high-end smartphone, Motorola will equip it with an under-display fingerprint sensor instead.
As confirmed by Verizon, Motorola's next flagship smartphone will be equipped with Snapdragon 865 chipset, Snapdragon X55 5G modem, 8G or 12GB RAM and a battery with a capacity of up to 5,170 mAh.
