Moto G8 Play & Moto E6 Plus Launched, Price Starts From Rs. 8,600

Alongside the Moto G8 Plus, Motorola also announces the Moto G8 Play and Moto E6 Play, both of which come with Helio P70 SoC, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage.

After launching a series of phones in the Motorola One lineup, Lenovo-owned Motorola has now announced two new phones in the Moto G8 series and one phone in the Moto E6 series. However, only the Moto G8 Plus is available in India, while the Moto E6 Plus and Moto G8 Play were only announced globally. The key specs of the Moto E6 Plus are Helio P70 chipset and a 5.5” HD+ screen, while the Moto G8 Plus is packed with Helio P70 chipset, triple rear cameras, and a large 4,000 mAh battery. Both phones run on Android 9.0 Pie at launch.

Moto G8 Play & Moto E6 Plus: Price

The Moto E6 Play is priced at 109 EUR (around Rs. 8,600) for the variant with 2GB of RAM / 32GB of storage. It will be available in Europe next month in Black and Ocean Blue colours.

The Moto G8 Play’s price is set at 1,099 BRL (around Rs. 19,300) for the 2GB RAM / 32GB of storage.

Moto E6 Play: Specifications

The Moto E6 Play has a MediaTek MT6739 SoC under the hood and memory configuration of 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. However, the E6 Play has a small display with 5.5 inches in size and HD+ resolution. In terms of camera, it has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP camera on the front. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, a headphone jack, splash-resistant coating, Face Recognition, and a 3,000 mAh battery.

Moto G8 Play: Specifications

The Moto G8 Play flaunts a larger 6.2-inch water-drop notched display and draws power from an Helio P70 chipset. There are triple rear cameras at the back of the phone - a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP ultra-wide camera with 117-degree FOV. On the front, it has an 8MP camera for selfies and video chat. Its battery has a higher capacity of 4,000 mAh and it also supports a faster-charging solution (10W). Other notable features are fingerprint reader, Face Recognition, a headphone jack, and a splash-resistant coating.
