Microsoft Surface Go Available For Pre-Orders In India, Price Starts From Rs. 37,999

Microsoft just announced that its Surface Go, the most affordable device in the lineup of Surface tablets and 2-in-1 devices, is available for pre-order in the Indian market exclusively in Flipkart. The device was already released in the US earlier in the year. It is a 10-inch tablet running Windows 10 with an included keyboard. Its LTE model was also released in the international markets in November, but there will be only the Wi-Fi variant available in the Indian market.

Specs of the Microsoft Surface Go

The Microsoft Surface Go sports a 10-inch 1200 x 1800 pixels resolution display. It is also packed with a 7th gen Intel Pentium 4415Y along with 4/8GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage. It comes with a 5MP camera and an 8MP rear camera and dual microphone.

The device also has Surface Connector for docking and charging; an audio jack, a microSD card slot for expanding storage and a USB Type-C 3.1 for video, charging and data. With a weight of 522g and at 8.3mm thin, the Microsoft tablet has a fanless design. Microsoft claims this device can last up to 9 hours.

With the “full friction” hinge that can extend to 165 degrees, you can switch the Surface Go from tablet to studio mode. It also has an optional Type Cover including a trackpad besides its keyboard.

This tablet will run Windows 10 out of the box with the option to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

Price of the Microsoft Surface Go in India

Price of the Surface Go in the Indian market starts from Rs. 37,999 for its base model with 4GB of RAM/64GB of storage and the 8GB of RAM/128GB of storage variant will cost Rs. 49,999. Consumers can pre-order both of these variants in Flipkart, and it promises tentative delivery by 28 December, though Microsoft has not said anything about this tablet’s availability.

Meanwhile, Flipkart already lists the launch date of this tablet as 27 December.

The Surface Go Type Cover – Black’s price is Rs 8,699 while the Surface Go Signature Type Cover – Color is priced at Rs 11,799.

Flipkart also offers an Rs. 2,000 discount on prepaid transactions for the Microsoft device, Rs. 4,000 discount for the Surface Go Type Cover and also free Hungama Play’s annual subscription which worths Rs. 799. These benefits are offered by Thomas Cook, ACT Fibernet and Kaya Services.
