Meizu 16Xs Goes Official In China With Snapdragon 675 & Triple Rear Cameras

Meizu just unveiled the Meizu 16Xs with a Snapdragon 675, triple rear cameras, and on-screen fingerprint reader in China.

Chinese company Meizu has just launched a new addition to its portfolio dubbed Meizu 16Xs. The device is a toned-down version of the last year’s Meizu 16X in China. Therefore, it will compete against other competitors in the mid-range segment. Highlights of this phone include a Snapdragon 660 series chipset, triple cameras on the rear, and a large battery.

In China, the handset is priced at CNY 1,698 (around Rs. 17,200) for the variant with 6GB of RAM + 64GB of internal storage. There is another option with 6GB of RAM / 128GB of internal storage and it is retailed at CNY 1,998 (around Rs. 20,200). It will be available in Coral Orange, Silk White, Blue, and Midnight Black color variants and go on sale from 10 June in the country.
MEIZU 16Xs: Specs & Features
The handset sports a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 90.29% screen-to-body ratio and a fingerprint scanner embedded under its display. The phone doesn’t feature the popular notch design, but it comes with a slightly thin bezel at the top to house a selfie camera and an earpiece. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor under the hood, paired with 6GB RAM + 64/128GB of internal storage.

In terms of camera, the Meizu phone features a triple camera setup on the rear, including a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 8MP ultra-wide f/2.2 camera with 118-degree field of view, and a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 lens. On the front, there is a 16MP camera with an f/2.2 lens for video call and selfies. For software, it ships with Meizu’s Flyme OS v7.0 at launch that is based on Android 9.0 Pie. It is fueled by a beefy 4,000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging solution. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, USB-C port, and GPS.
