As the Meizu 16Xs is approaching, a fresh leak has just surfaced and revealed pretty much every detail about the forthcoming mid-range Meizu handset.
According to the new leak by DeaInTech, the upcoming Meizu 16Xs will come with a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 1,080 x 2,232p resolution, an aspect ratio of 18.6:9, and a 90.29 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is also tipped to come with an on-screen fingerprint reader that uses the company’s Super mTouch tech, and it is said to unlock in only 0.2 seconds. The device will also likely support WeChat and AliPay payment.
While its predecessor comes with a Snapdragon 710 SoC< the upcoming Meizu 16Xs is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 675 SoC and accompanied with 6GB RAM + 64/128GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera, it is said to be the first from the company to feature a triple camera setup on the rear. The setup includes a 48MP main shooter with f/1.7 aperture and 6P custom lens. It’s coupled with a 5MP f/1.9 camera and an 8MP f/2.2 shooter, one of which will be a 118.8-degree ultra-wide angle shooter. Camera modes might include Super Night Scene mode and Portrait mode.
Meizu decides to not go for either the notch or pop-up camera design like many other smartphone brands. Instead, the company goes for a thin bezel at the top to house the 16MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The selfie shooter is said to have a 5P custom lens, AI Beauty mode, HDR+, Face Unlock feature, and portrait mode.
As for software, it is tipped to pack a beefy 4,000 mAh battery but Meizu still manages to keep the phone’s weight at 165g which is lighter than many of its competitors. It will be available in four color variants, Ice Silk White, Coral Orange, Atlantis, and Knight Black.
Unfortunately, the new leak doesn’t reveal the pricing of the upcoming handset. However, its official launch is just around the corner so you will not have to wait for long.
