The Oppo Reno 3 5G and Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G will arrive in China on 26 December as two new mid-range smartphones.

The first Oppo Reno smartphone has a shark-fin pop-up selfie camera design. When Oppo Reno 2 launched in October, it continued to inherit this design. However, the upcoming Oppo Reno 3 will come with a punch-hole display, replacing the pop-up selfie camera design, a new trend initiated by Samsung.

Recently, Ice Universe has posted actual images of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G smartphone. You can see the pretty small cut-out in the upper left corner of the screen, which houses a selfie camera. Besides, the Reno 3 Pro 5G screen has two curved edges similar to Samsung's design, and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

The leak also revealed that Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G will be equipped with a 4,025 mAh battery, 6.5-inch screen, new Snapdragon 765 processor and a built-in fingerprint sensor below the screen. Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 765 processor is known to have a 5G modem integrated.

In addition, the quad rear cameras of Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G will include a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and two 2MP sensors. The whole camera setup will be stacked vertically and an LED flash in the same module. The front selfie camera will carry 32MP resolution. And it's no surprise that this smartphone comes preloaded with Android 10 with Oppo's ColorOS7 interface.

A few other actual images of the Oppo Reno 3 5G smartphone have also been shared on Weibo. This is a lower version and only uses the popular water-drop screen design.

The leak also revealed that Oppo Reno 3 5G is only equipped with MediaTek MT6885 chipset, a  6.4-inch screen, and quad rear cameras. The camera system will also be placed vertically like the Pro model, but the LED flash will be placed outside of the camera module. It seems to have a similar gradient effect to the Redmi K20 Pro.

Both Oppo smartphones will be launched in China on December 26.
