LG K12+ With Helio P22, 3GB RAM, & AI Camera Launched

LG K12+, which is said to be a new model of the LG K40, was just launched with Helio P22, 3GB of RAM, and AI-powered camera.

LG K12+ was just launched in the Brazilian market. This new offering in the mid-range segment is said to be a new version of the recently-introduced LG K40 that LG already unveiled right before this year’s MWC event on February. This new LG K12+ is packed with AI-powered features, including an AI Camera that can adjust photo settings as per 8 different subjects, including animals, food, and people. Up front, it comes with an 8MP front camera, a single LED Flash, and support for Portrait Mode.

LG K12+: Price

The handset is priced at 1,199 BRL (around Rs. 21,222). It is offered in a total of three color variants, including Black, Platinum Gray, and Moroccan Blue. As mentioned, the phone is launched as a new model of the K40 that LG introduced in MWC 2019 last month.

For now, the company hasn’t revealed any information regarding its launch in markets outside of Brazil.

LG K12+: Specs & Features

The handset sports a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a 1,440 x 720p resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. At the core, it is powered by an octa-core MTK Helio P22 SoC, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD slot up to 2TB.

In the imaging department, the LG phone features a single 16MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and a single LED flash. The rear camera has support for PDAF and HDR.

As mentioned, the South Korean company has also integrated an AI-powered camera app on this phone, which enables it to adjust the image settings for 8 different subjects and also optimize the pictures. It can also support image recognition with Google Lens. Up front, it comes with an 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0.

It has standard connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, a dated micro-USB port, and GPS/ A-GPS.

Powering the phone will be a 3,000mAh cell with no fast charging support. As for software, it runs the dated Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
