LG G8 ThinQ To Launch In South Korea From 22 March, Price Confirmed

The LG flagship, LG G8 ThinQ, is set to launch in the Korean market 22 March for a price of KRW 897,600 (roughly Rs. 55,200).

The South Korean tech giant, LG Electronics has launched its new flagship G8 ThinQ, which is the successor of the last year's G7 ThinQ, at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2019 taking place last month. Now, the company just announced the official specifications and price of the device on its official website. Accordingly, the handset will be available for sales from 22 March in the South Korean market. Those who want to own this device can pre-order from 15 March.

The G8 ThinQ has the starting price of KRW 897,600 (Rs. 55,200 roughly) in South Korea. However, the company has not revealed the price as well as the device details for the global market yet. Regarding the specifications, the device packs the Snapdragon 855 SoC from Qualcomm, paired with 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, which can be expanded to as much as 2 TB via a microSD slot.

Also, the upcoming phone runs the latest Android 9 Pie at launch. And it sports a 6.1-inch FullVision OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a pixel density of 564ppi. In addition, the display has QHD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

Besides, the smartphone features a triple camera setup on the back in the South Korean market. This setup comprises of a 12MP primary lens with an f/1.5 aperture, a 16MP secondary lens with an f/1.9 aperture, and a 12MP tertiary lens with an f/2.4 aperture.

In addition, the G8 ThinQ comes with an 8MP autofocus front-facing camera along with an f/1.7 lens. Powering the handset is a battery with a capacity of 3,500mAh, supporting Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Furthermore, the device also supports Face Unlock and has a fingerprint scanner as for security. The phone offers various connectivity options comprising of Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, USB-C port (version 3.1), FM radio, NFC, and GPS/A-GPS. Besides, the handset also has a built-in 32-bit advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC.
