Lenovo Z5 Pro GT With 12GB Of RAM , Snapdragon 855 SoC Launched

On Tuesday, Lenovo has launched Lenovo Z5 Pro GT alongside with the Lenovo Z5s. The new Z5 Pro GT is the first smartphone in the world to feature a Snapdragon 855 SoC. This new Qualcomm SoC launched in early December with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 model which supports 5G connectivity. Besides the latest Qualcomm processor, the new Lenovo device also comes with up to 12GB RAM and runs the latest Android 9 Pie-based ZUI 10 of Lenovo. Lenovo also uses the new sliding front camera on this handset, instead of opting for the ubiquitous notch.

Specs of the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT

The dual-SIM Z5 Pro GT runs the Android 9 Pie-based ZUI 10 of Lenovo. It features a 6.39-inch FullHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. However, the latest Qualcomm SoC, Snapdragon 855, with a top-notch performance will still be the unique selling point of this Lenovo Z5 Pro GT.

Alongside the Snapdragon 855 processor, the Lenovo handset will come in three RAM options with 6/8/12GB of RAM. In the camera department, the device will come with a dual camera system on the rear, including a 16MP f1.8 Sony IMX519 sensor and dual-tone LED flash as well as a 24MP f1.8 Sony IMX576 sensor.

On the front, three will also be another dual camera system, consisting of a 16MP f2.2 camera and an 8MP Infrared sensor to support Facial ID feature. The front-camera setup will be placed on a slider alongside sensors like an earpiece and an ambient light. Users can also unlock the device with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The slider uses double-helical structure, 6 parallel slides and also AI smart antennas. Lenovo claims that those antennas will intelligently detect the position of users’ hand grip to adjust the signal dynamically.

In the storage aspect, Lenovo will offer three storage options with 128/256/512GB. The connectivity options on the Z5 Pro GT include Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, USB-C port, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and NFC.

The Lenovo powerful phone will be powered by a 3,350 mAh battery. Its dimensions are 155.12x73.04x9.3mm and its weight is 210 grams.

Price of the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT

Price of the Z5 Pro GT in the Chinese market starts from 2,698 CNY (around Rs. 27,700) for the model with 6GB RAM/128GB storage, 2,998 CNY (around Rs. 30,800) for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant and 3,398 CNY (around Rs. 41,100) for the option with 8GB RAM/256GB storage. Its top-end variant with 12GB RAM/512GB storage costs 4,398 CNY (around Rs. 45,100).

Consumers can start pre-ordering this handset from 15 January in the Chinese market and its sale will start from 24 January. The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT will come in a Carbon Black color option with a carbon fiber finish.

Lenovo hasn’t announced the global release of its Z5 Pro GT yet.
