Lenovo Z5 Pro GT Up For Pre-Order In China; World's First Phone With Snapdragon 855

The Chinese phone maker has just started allowing buyers to pre-order the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT which is the first phone to pack a Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Buyers are now able to pre-order the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT in the Chinese market from 22 January. In December last year, the Chinese phone maker officially unveiled its Z5 Pro GT as the first Lenovo phone to feature the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC. Lenovo also said that they would start listing the phone up for sale from 24 January, but it was later pushed back to 29 January.

VP of Lenovo, Chang Cheng, announced on Weibo that the company’s Z5 Pro GT will be priced around CNY 2.698 (around Rs. 26,900) for the 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage options. Lenovo doesn’t reveal any details about the variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The company has also yet confirmed the official sale date. Previously, Lenovo said that the phone would be available for pre-ordering from 15 January, but it was delayed eventually.

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT: Specifications & Features

The upcoming Lenovo Z5 Pro GT is most likely to be the first phone in the world to feature the latest Qualcomm flagship, the Snapdragon 855 processor, which is expected to power most of the Android-powered flagship smartphones this year. It sports a 6.39-inch FHD+ display with a 2,340 x 1,080 resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The handset will run Android 8.1 Oreo-based ZUI 10 and packs 12GB of RAM as listed on Geekbench.

On the camera department, the Z5 Pro GT features a dual camera system on the rear, including a 16MP sensor and a 24MP sensor. On the front, the 16MP and 8MP selfie cameras will be placed in the phone’s mechanical slider, and it is also a dual-lens as well. It will be backed by a decent 3,350 mAh battery with support for fast charging.

With dimensions of 155.12 x 73.04 x 93mm, the upcoming Lenovo phone features an on-screen fingerprint scanner. The phone’s connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and a USB-C port.
