Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is planning to launch a second phone under its name. The company’s Vice President Feny Yufei has just revealed on his Weibo page that the Chinese brand will announce the iQOO Neo on 2 July. You can watch the event online on a live stream if you are interested. The upcoming iQOO Neo is kind of a toned-down model of the flagship Vivo iQOO. The Chinese brand has teased its design previously and a fresh teaser just revealed two more features.
According to the new teaser, the iQOO Neo will feature 4D gaming shock 2.0 like the Vivo iQOO. Moreover, the handset is also said to have a liquid cooling system as well. It recently made its appearance on TENAA and the listing revealed quite a few features and specs. It is likely that the iQOO Neo will not be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC, but it will come with the flagship chipset of 2018, Snapdragon 845. The phone will also not feature the LED strip at the back and support a slower charging solution compared to the one on the flagship device (44W).
The upcoming iQOO Neo is expected to sport a 6.38-inch AMOLED panel with an in-display fingerprint scanner, as per its listing on TENAA. In addition, the phone will likely be fueled by a 4,420 mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging. On the design front, the handset shares a lot of similarities with its more premium sibling. It has the same water-drop notched display and triple cameras at the back. However, the price is the most interesting thing about this phone. The Vivo came with a very competitive price, and we expect the same for the iQOO Neo. It is about two weeks until its launch. We will keep you updated when we have more details about the phone.
