iQOO 7 Debuts With Snapdragon 888, 120Hz AMOLED Display, 120W Fast Charging, And More

The iQOO 7 is the second smartphone in the world to feature a Snapdragon 888 chipset and also the second one to support 120W fast charging technology.

iQOO, a sub-brand of Vivo that specializes in launching gaming-oriented smartphones, has recently introduced the iQOO 7 in the high-end segment. The highlight of this smartphone is the Snapdragon 888, which is currently Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset at the moment. This is also the second device equipped with the new chipset, after the Xiaomi Mi 11.

iQOO 7: Price in India & Availability

The device will be sold in three color options: Black, light Blue, and white BMW M-sport co-branded. The iQOO 7 prie will be CNY 3,798 (around Rs. 43,000) for the entry 8GB + 128GB version and CNY 4,198 (around Rs. 47,600) for the 12GB + 256GB version. The device will be available for sales on January 15 in the Chinese market.

The handset is available in three color variants, White, Black, and light Blue.

iQOO 7: Specifications & Features

In terms of design, the iQOO 7 features a premium design inspired by the Vivo X60 series that was introduced by Vivo not long ago. The back of the device is completed from glass, curved on both sides, and has a fairly large camera cluster, similar to that of the Vivo V20 series. The camera setup includes a 48MP OIS wide-angle camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree viewing angle, and a 13MP telephoto camera with a 2x optical zoom. The entire camera module is stabilized with Super Video image stabilization with HDR.

The iQOO 7 display has a variable 120Hz refresh rate, allowing users to switch among 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz refresh rate.

In terms of performance, as mentioned above, the iQOO 7 is the second smartphone in the world to feature Qualcomm's most powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 888. It is paired with 8GB / 12GB LPDDR5  RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. On the front, there is a 6.62" AMOLED panel with Full-HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. The brand claims that the phone could reach up to 1000Hz instant touch sampling rate for a much smoother gaming experience. At the top, the display gets a punch-hole cut-out to house a single 16MP selfie camera. You will also get dual stereo speakers that support Hi-Res audio co-developed with Monster Audio.

Under the hood, the device is equipped with two 2,000mAh battery cells, equalling a total capacity of 4,000mAh. It supports 120W FlashCharge technology, allowing the phone to fully charge in just 15 minutes. This is also the second smartphone on the market equipped with 120W fast charging technology after Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra launched last summer. In addition, this handset is also backward compatible with the 65W PD fast charging technology.
