iQOO - Vivo's sub-brand has just launched two new high-end smartphones in China, called iQOO 5 & iQOO 5 Pro. These two new phones own high refresh rate display, Snapdragon 865 Soc, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, high-end cameras, and 120W fast charging technology.

The iQOO 5 and 5 Pro duo are now available for pre-order in China, scheduled to hit the store on August 24. Below are the iQOO 5 series pricing:
iQOO 5
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: CNY 3,998 (about Rs. 43,400)
- 12GB RAM + 128GB storage: CNY 4,298 (about Rs. 46,700)
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,598 (about Rs. 49,900)
iQOO 5 Pro
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,998 (about Rs. 54,300)
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 5,498 (about Rs.59,700)
Vivo iQOO 5 & 5 Pro: Specifications & Features
The two new iQOO phones are equipped with a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, Full HD + resolution, and an aspect ratio of 20: 9. The displays of both devices have a 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits maximum brightness, 100% DCI-P3, and HDR10+. In addition, they also have a built-in fingerprint sensor under the screen for biometrics security.
Inside, both phones possess the hardware power of the Snapdragon 865 processor, combined with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal memory. They are also integrated liquid cooling system, and run on Android 10 -based iQOO UI 5.0 interface.
The camera department is where the iQOO 5 and 5 Pro differ, although the two phones both have 16MP selfie cameras and triple cameras on the back. The iQOO 5's rear camera cluster includes a 50MP Samsung GN1 main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view, and an 8MP depth sensor for portrait photography.
The 5 Pro’s camera setup is somewhat more premium. Instead of having an 8MP depth sensor, the device gets a 13MP periscope telephoto camera. Its camera cluster supports OIS, 5x optical zoom, 60x hybrid zoom, and 8K video recording. Meanwhile, the standard model only supports EIS and 20x digital zoom.
The standard model comes with a 4,500mAh battery and supports 55W fast charging. As for the 5 Pro, it has a smaller 4,000mAh battery but is capable of up to 120W fast charging, allowing a full charge from 0% to 100% in just 15 minutes. Both devices support 2 SIMs, 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB-C port, dual speakers, and Hi-Res Audio.
