Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has just teased a new smartphone and also confirmed that the handset’s name will be iQOO 3 just like we have reported recently.
On Weibo, the iQOO account shared a new poster to announce a new smartphone called iQOO 3. Even though the brand doesn’t explicitly show the name of the phone, the poster not only shows the name iQOO 3 at the upper half, but it also reconfirms the name at the lower part as well.
Even though the company hasn’t revealed the specs of the iQOO 3 officially, one of its recent Weibo posts said that “UFS 3.1 is so fast to use” and that means the handset should pack the fast storage standard.
In addition, the iQOO 3 also recently visited China’s TENAA with the model number Vivo V1955A and full specifications. The TENAA listing shows that the handset will come with a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel that supports FHD+ resolution. There will also be an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
According to recently leaked photos, the phone will carry a punch-hole display with a small cut-out at the top right corner to house a selfie camera. According to the TENAA listing, the selfie shooter will have 16MP resolution.
On the rear, there will be a triple camera setup that includes a 64MP primary sensor and 2MP + 13MP units. Ticking at its core will be an octa-core chipset with a 2.84GHz clock speed, which should be the Snapdragon 865 processor. Paired with it should be 6/8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. It will run on Android 10 to take care of the software side of things.
Finally, the handset will have support for 5G connectivity and pack a beefy 4,370mAh battery, which should be charged via a USB Type-C port and support fast charging technology.
For now, the brand hasn’t revealed the iQOO 3 release date, but since it has been certified by TENAA and the first teaser has emerged, we expect to see the handset make its appearance soon.
