iPhone 12 Pro Specs Leaked: 120Hz Display, Thinner Bezels, Mediocre Battery

New details of the upcoming iPhone 12 Pro have emerged online, suggesting the presence of the 120Hz display, thin bezels, and mediocre battery.

Founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants - Ross Young has just revealed a list of smartphones that will launch this year with 120Hz screens. iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are both on that list.

In other words, the two high-end versions in the upcoming iPhone series, iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max will be equipped with Apple’s 120Hz screen. Meanwhile, the two lower versions - iPhone 12 and 12 Max will only be equipped with a 60Hz OLED screen.

The two Pro models are confirmed to have a 120Hz screen. Are you happy about this upgrade from Apple? Do you think that Apple should sacrifice the battery capacity on its upcoming models?

Previously, internal sources revealed that Apple's marketing department really wanted the iPhone 12 Pro to have a 120Hz screen because this would be a very good promotion feature. But Apple's technical department says the Pro version may not be ready to integrate the technology. It looks like things went smoothly, and the Pro models will have a 120Hz screen.

Another report further revealed that all models will be thinner than their predecessors. Even the 6.7-inch 12 Pro Max will only be 7.4mm thick, 10% thinner than the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which is 8.1mm thick.

Iphone 12 Pro Colors
iPhone 12 Pro will come in four colors, with a new Navy Blue option.

The undesirable side effect of the slimmer design, however, is the limited battery size even though Apple will reportedly use a multi-layer stacked motherboard design to make room for more battery. Internal reports indicate that the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 Pro will not exceed 4,400 mAh. While the handset will support both 5G technology and a 120Hz screen, the limited battery capacity could be a big problem.

Some previous rumors revealed that the iPhone 12 will not be sold with headphones included. Wedbush Securities analysts have also confirmed this information. At the same time, AirPods sales are expected to grow from 65 million last year, to 85 million this year.

All four iPhones will be launched at an event held in early October, instead of September like every year, due to the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Despite the event being delayed, consumers won't have to wait too long to buy new iPhones. So, are you excited about the upcoming iPhone models and will you wait for the launch event?
