iPhone 12 Mini Could Be Apple's New Popular Budget Smartphone

Last night, Apple unveiled the new iPhone 12 models, including the iPhone 12 Mini as the new addition to Apple’s flagship phone collection. This smartphone comes in a smaller size and costs less than its siblings.

The Mini variant is new to the iPhone product line that has recently welcomed the Pro and Max variants to give buyers more options. Over the last few years, Apple has been gradually expanding its iPhone franchise to target a wide range of consumers, with both more expensive and cheaper offerings.

The iPhone 12 Mini could become popular in the ongoing pandemic as many people became jobless and their budget is tighter than ever. At this time, more people need a mobile device to work and study remotely or for other purposes, but they can’t afford to spend over $1,000 on a smartphone.

This is the first time we’ve seen a Mini iPhone, but Apple has already used this name for other product lines, including iPod Mini, Mac Mini, and iPad Mini.

The iPhone 12 Mini features a 5.4-inch display. Despite a smaller size, it delivers all the same features as the bigger iPhone 12, such as the OLED panel, 5G connectivity, and a faster chip. The small design also makes it easy to keep the phone in your pocket.

However, it doesn’t have some advanced features that higher-end variants offer, including a larger sensor for improved low-light performance, an enhanced telephoto lens, as well as the ability to combine multiple frames into one photo. If you have to get these features, you must spend extra on the Pro and Pro Max models.

With this size, price, and these features, the iPhone 12 Mini is a direct competitor to other affordable handsets like the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, Google Pixel 4a 5G, and Google Pixel 5.

The iPhone 12 Mini is available for preorders starting November 6 and will start shipping on November 13.
