Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 Confirmed To Launch In India On 1 August

The first pop-up camera smartphone from Huawei, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 will officially make its debut in India on 1 August.

The launch date of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 in India has finally been confirmed. The handset will make its debut in the country on 1 August, according to a listing on Amazon.in. The Huawei phone was first launched back in May and is already up for sale in several countries. It arrived as the company’s first phone with a pop-up camera. It is also a slightly upgraded model of the Huawei Y9 2019, which launched in India in January this year. The key highlights of the Y9 Prime 2019 are triple rear cameras, beefy battery, full-screen display, and a pop-up camera. The phone comes in three colour variants -- Emerald Green, Midnight Black, & Sapphire Blue.

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019: Specifications
The handset sports a 6.59-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a 84.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. In terms of software, it ships with Android 9.0 Pie at launch. Powering the phone is a Kirin 710F processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB of storage that is user expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. At the back, it is equipped with a 16MP primary camera alongside a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, there is a 16M pop-up camera for selfies and video chats. The phone is packed with some AI camera features. Its back cameras can recognize 22 categories and more than 500 scenes in real-time.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS with GLONASS, dual-SIM slots, and 4G LTE. Security-wise, there is a fingerprint scanner mounted at its back for biometric authentication. Finally, it is fueled by a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood.
As for the price, we haven’t heard anything about it yet. It is currently up for sale in several countries with price tags ranging from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 17,000. It should arrive at a similar price.
