Huawei Sub-brand Will Launch Its Honor 8C In India Next Week: Specifications

Huawei will launch its Honor 8C next week in the Indian market and the phone's specs is revealed ahead of launch.

The sub-brand of Huawei - Honor is about to launch its Honor 8C in the Indian market in the upcoming week. The phone will feature a 6.26-inch FullView Display and 4,000 mAh battery.

The device, which features AI-based tech, will be likely to have two variants, including 4GB of RAM/64GB of storage as well as 6GB of RAM/64GB of storage. The phone was already released in the Chinese market last month.

Price of the 8C in Chinese market is from 1,099 CNY (around Rs. 11,300) for the variant of 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, to 1,399 CNY (around Rs. 14,400). From its price in the Chinese market, we should expect the Honor 8C’s price in our market to be higher than the Rs. 14,000 mark.

The Honor 8C with dual-SIM will run Huawei-made EMUI 8.2 which mostly based on Android Oreo (8.1), and features a 6.26 inch HD+ TFT LCD IPS display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and 86.6% screen-to-body ratio. It will be powered by Snapdragon 626 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM along with 32GB storage. Users can expand the storage via microSD slot (256GB maximum).

For camera aspect, it will feature a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary sensor, and both will support autofocus. The phone has an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 and fixed focus. Both of the camera setups have LED flash. Finally, it will be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery.

The Honor 8C will have a regular Micro-USB port along with a headphone jack. For sensors, it will include an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, fingerprint scanner, and electronic compass. It weighs 167.2 grams and its dimensions are 158.72x75.94x7.98mm. In terms of design, its Aurora Blue variant will feature a 3D nano-level texture design which is similar to the Honor 10’s gradient design.

The Honor was launched in early November at the price of Rs. 21,990. Huawei stated that there has been more than 1 million Honor 10 devices sold during the Diwali sale season, with the Honor 8X Rs. 14,999 and the Honor 9N Rs. 9,999 being the most popular phones on Amazon India and Big Billion Days of Flipkart respectively on the first day of selling.

Huawei has sold more than 6 million devices of its new Honor 8X in the global market. That makes it the top Singles Day performer in terms of sales revenue and volume in the smartphone market.
